[SOLUTION] Canon D1120 duplex jamming

A client of mine has a Canon imageCLASS D1120 copier that would jam each time they tried to copy or print any double sided. I looked and looked for a jam, but couldn’t find any. It would print the one side and suck it back in and jam. I took a flashlight in the back and finally figured out what was happening — there was paper inside that was causing the jam.как сделать хороший проект здания.

Remove the paper tray and look for this green lever (as is shown in the diagram #1 in the picture below). Pull it down and remove the jam!

Brmorris, you are a genius! You just saved my bacon at the office. Thanks! Who would have ever thought to look inside the machine for the problem when the error code comes up as check the back? Thanks again!

Thank you Brmorris. Been printing single sided for days and pulling paper jams when we forget.

Awesome! Thanks for posting the photo. We were unable to use duplex printing/copying for months. Then, after seeing your solution, it took a whopping 20 seconds to fix the issue. Too bad that Canon customer service didn’t suggest we check there.

Brmorris, for several months my MF6160DW suddenly started having problems while printing both sides.
Someone suggested to upgrade the firmware…that did not work. I saw your suggestion above and located the problem found a paper stuck down under. Thanks your solution worked for me!

Truly – you are a genius and the Canon JAM error messages leave something to be desired.
My copier has been jamming when duplexing for weeks now – and I could never see any issue!
And low an behold, there was an entire piece of paper stuck in the duplex tray.
