Letter from Foster Simmons about free airline tickets

Here’s another Leading Incentive Agency! (See other posts here.) Please comment if you received one.

It tells you that you have qualified for an award of 2 roundtrip airline tickets. It looks like it was actually signed by Catherine Ray, the “Vice President of the Travel Awards Division.”

The www.fostersimmons.com website exists. Here’s the whois info: http://www.whois.net/whois/fostersimmons.com — registered October 25, 2010.

They hand write the address on the envelope and use a real stamp.

I have found the answers to this mystery thanks to the great work of the folks at BBB in Tucson, AZ:

I just received one of these letters as well. Definitely reeks of scam! When I typed the address( info@fostersimmons.com ) into my address bar, Norton suggested that it may be a trick. The web site has also not been tested by Norton yet either.

  2. Adam says:

I too just got one of these today. Same description as above. No return address on enelope, but postage appears it originated in Pheonix. I reported it to the BBB in Tucson.

  3. Steve says:

Just got one of these in Detroit. Verbatim. Checked out the website which seemed legit, though no client list (unusual for an agency). Tracked it to the BBB–They’re rated F. Thx for your post.

  4. Don says:
